Due to continued staffing shortages, Ator Elementary & Smith Elementary will temporarily move to distance learning for the remainder of the week (Jan. 19-21). All other sites will continue with in-person instruction at this time.

Like every school district in our area, this latest surge of COVID-19 has caused another set of challenges to navigate. In particular, our staff has been significantly impacted by COVID-19 and general illness (flu, stomach bug, etc.) that we are all used to seeing this time of year.
The following messages from the Owasso Public Schools Board of Education were recently distributed to families in the district.
School sites in the Owasso Public Schools District announced their 2021-22 Teacher of the Year Award recipients recently, as the district continued its tradition of recognizing excellence in the classroom through the State of Oklahoma Teacher of the Year program.
On Thursday, Nov. 18, the Owasso Education Foundation surprised 47 teachers with money for 53 grants totaling $70,131.79 as part of the foundation’s annual “Grant Patrol” event.
This is a reminder that there will be no school from January 17 - 18. January 17 is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and on January 18, staff will be participating in a virtual professional development day.
Administrators from Owasso Public Schools will host two public meetings to inform and answer questions from the community ahead of a proposed School Bond Election in Spring 2022.
This is a reminder that Winter Break is just around the corner and there will be no school from December 20-31. The second semester will begin on Monday, January 3. We hope you enjoy the break.
Virtual learning enrollment for the second semester will open on Monday, Nov. 22 and close on Friday, Dec. 10. Parents who have students currently enrolled in virtual learning and wish for their student to return to a brick and mortar classroom for the second semester can also use this window of time to communicate those wishes to the district, as well.
