2019-2020 COURSE SYLLABUS

CELL PHONE POLICY:  There is a “no cell phone policy” in the English department.  We have discovered that the devices are more of a hindrance than a help.  Upon entering the classroom, students will place their phone in a hanging pocket.  At the end of class they will retrieve their phone.  Any student caught with their phone in class will receive a discipline referral.  If you need to get in contact with your child while they are in class, feel free to call the office at 918.272.6274.

LATE WORK: It is in the best interest of your child's education for them to have their work completed when it is due. Work will be accepted at full credit the day it is due and will be accepted at up to 50% credit the next school day. If your student abuses this priviliege, they will not be allowed this flexability for special circumstances. Incomplete work will not be accepted. This late policy does not apply to projects and book proofs as due dates are set well in advance. Those will be recorded as a zero if not turned in. I advise students to not wait until the day projects and book proofs are due to turn them in. This allows for any technology issues you may have at home so that they can be resolved by the day the assignment is due. WORK SMART.
