About your Teacher

My name is Kim Brogan.  I have been married for thirteen years to my husband, John. We have three beautiful little girls - Haley 11, Julia 9 and Remi 5.  My two youngest attend Stone Canyon Elementary and my oldest attends the 6th Grade Center here in Owasso. My family loves to go to the lake and to go camping.  Our latest adventures this summer were a camping trip to the mountains of New Mexico and the beach in Alabama. We LOVE the water!

I obtained a Masters in Administration and Curriculum Supervision through OU, and a Bachelors in Education through OSU- Tulsa. I have my principal certification as well. This will be my 16th year teaching.  The first part of my teaching career was spent in Tulsa Public Schools. I held a position as a Staff Development Teacher the last year with TPS. I took 4 years off to stay home with my girls and returned to the classroom in 2017 with Owasso Public Schools.  I love being an Owasso Ram! The Eighth Grade Center is the best place to be!

I expect every student to come to my classroom ready to learn. My top priority is to prepare you for high school using extensive reading and writing opportunities through innovative approaches that will make learning fun and engaging. Most everything you need for my class can be accessed through this web page and Google Classroom. Most of what we do is done electronically.  I am here to assist you, and will do my best to help you reach your own personal goals.

This site is VERY BASIC as most of my content is in Google Classroom.  Its purpose is to introduce you to our classroom, to help you get started with Google Classroom, see a supply list, and provide you with some web links we will be needing throughout the year.  I recommend placing a shortcut on your phone or other devices so you can access this page with one click. We will utilize Google Classroom most of the time. Google classroom codes will be given out the first week of school.  They will also be posted on my board year-round. Daily Assignments are posted online in Google Classroom.  If you miss a day of class, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to check Google Classroom and complete your assignments for the day.  Most handouts will be posted for that day.
