Our Mission

We cultivate leaders by inspiring students to elevate their thinking, challenging them to become people of strong character, and developing lifelong learners through intentional efforts to create a safe, supportive environment where every student can learn, grow, and thrive.

School Profile

The Owasso Eighth Grade Center was established in 1995 at the site of the former Owasso Junior High School at 13901 E.86th Street North. The current enrollment is 770 students with a highly qualified faculty and staff of approximately 57. An eighth-grade day consists of 4 core classes and 2 electives. The school offers a wide variety of student organizations and activities in which students may participate.

Safety & Student Support

The well-being of our 750 students is our highest priority. To provide a secure and supportive atmosphere, we have expanded our dedicated staff to include:

  • Full-time Security Officer: Ensuring a safe and protected campus around the clock.
  • Full-time Behavioral Para: Providing targeted, professional support to help students navigate their social and emotional development.

Future Growth: The New Safe Room

Exciting growth is on the horizon. Construction begins this year (26.27 School Year) on a sophisticated tornado-safe room. This major addition will provide peak physical security and will serve as our new cafeteria.

Academics & Student Life

Our students remain the heart of our mission. They are highly active in a diverse range of activities, including National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, Band, Vocal Music, Athletics, Art, and Multicultural Studies. We offer a comprehensive academic spectrum—from High School Level courses to specialized individual instruction—ensuring every student is met where they are. Our dedicated faculty is committed to nurturing the skills necessary for our students to become productive, innovative members of the 21st century.
